Alas, no, I was not ACTUALLY called up for jury duty. Still, a law student can dream.

According to Ryan North, today is "Feel Free To Say Hi If I'm Wearing A Dinosaur Comics Shirt Day, Woooooo!" Frankly, I support this concept 100%!

This is based on when I stood up for the first time, and the judge asked me something and I didn't realize he was talking to me. SUPER LAWYERS HERE

If Illinois is still part of the Union after tomorrow I'll consider it a good day.

So, blogspot was down yesterday, so for once a lack of update was NOT MY FAULT. In sacrifice to the gods of the weblogs, here is an offering of hopeful hilarity.

Basically, T-Rex's entire testimoney was a giant law nerdgasm.

I was actually called up yesterday to testify! Before anyone gets upset, it was a preliminary hearing, and the State just needed to prove probable cause in order to detain the suspect, and the police officer they wanted to testify wasn't there, so they had to use someone familiar with her background. After reviewing her file, that was me! WOOOO

My teacher told me that ANYTHING can be used to refresh recollection, but the rule specifies a "writing." I guess someone needed his memory refreshed!
